Who likes Fireworks??

I know I sure do!  With the Fourth of July just around the corner, thought I’d let you know when and where you can find them around the Resort:

July 3rd – Saco, ME @9:30pm

Sanford, ME @ 9:00pm

July 4th – Ogunquit, ME @ 9:15pm

You might want to consider this when choosing which venue to see fireworks – Mt. Agamenticus, our local mountain, will stay open until 11:00pm both days.  This way, you can watch all the fireworks at once!  Hope you and yours have lots of safe fun this summer.  Happy Fourth from all of us at The Falls!

Still more to do around Maine!

Hi there!  I want to share with you some activities outside of Ogunquit that you and your family might enjoy this summer.  While we certainly have lots and lots of fun things to do in town, you might want to venture out and see more of what Maine has to offer.  Starting at the ME/NH border, you can visit Ft. McClary.  This fort was built along the Piscataqua River and was used to protect the harbor in the 19th century.  You can spend a day here exploring and maybe even catch a battle reenactment.  Then head north on Rte 1 to Yorks Wild Animal Kingdom, they are a zoo and amusement park rolled into one.  We even have discount tickets for you!  Just past us in Wells, you’ll find Wonder Mountain.  Take in some mini golf, race a go-kart or try out their Human Maze.  For something different, head to Len Libby Chocolatier in Scarborough and take a picture with their world’s only life size  chocolate moose! After that, keep going up to Portland.  You’ll want to hop a boat ride on the Casco Bay mail boat.  Don’t worry, they don’t expect you to deliver the mail, only enjoy the islands that they stop at on the route.   These are just a few ideas for you, I hope you’ll stop by to say hello and ask about more fun things to do!  Enjoy the day, Sue
