Do you like Theatre or live music?

July 22, 2016

MTLogo2Thought you might like to hear about some great places to enjoy live performances around our Resort!  Our first suggestion is a spot known to most people as the best summer theatre in the U.S:  “The Ogunquit Playhouse”.  Their current show is ‘The Hunchback of Notre Dame’ and I’m excited to say that I’ll be enjoying this show tonight!  They’ve already had ‘Let It Be-A Celebration of the Beatles’ and ‘Anything Goes’.  Coming up next is ‘Priscilla, Queen of the Desert’, ‘Seven Brides for Seven Brothers’ and, back by popular demand, ‘Million Dollar Quartet’.  In my opinion, this is definitely one of the best theatres, it’s small enough to feel intimate yet large enough to produce shows that rival Broadway theatre.  You can check availability and pricing at http://ogunquitplayhouse.org.

Your next stop should be to “Jonathan’s in Ogunquit”.  Their selection of live music is unparalleled in the area.  This weekend they are presenting an up and coming guitarist who has already shared the stage with Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton and others – ‘Quinn Sullivan’.   Next weekend is ‘Jonathan Edwards’. They have a full schedule throughout the rest of the summer.  If music isn’t your thing, you can always enjoy a comedy night.  You’ve heard of ‘Bob Marley’, right?  How about ‘Paula Poundstone’?  Top acts are always on the menu here, along with dinner, dessert and drinks.  I know I couldn’t ask for a better evening!  For information on their schedule and ticketing, please visit https://jonathansogqunquit.com.

So, I’m running out of space but didn’t want to leave these next places out – please check out their websites for some more fun, live entertainment.

If you need more suggestions, feel free to contact me at the Resort and I’ll be happy to give you some ideas.  My contact number is #207-646-4600 ext. 320.  If I’m not available, anyone at The Falls front desk can help you!  Thanks and enjoy the day, Sue

The weather here in Ogunquit has been amazing – warm, sunny days and cool breezy nights.  We sure couldn’t ask for anything more!  Or could we?? Maybe you’re getting bored with the beach.  If so, why don’t you check out what we have to offer at the Resort for fun!  Do you enjoy walking or biking tours?  We got that.  How about outdoor games and yoga?  Yup, we got that, too.  Perhaps you’re the creative type, one who feels inspired by our environment and wants to remember your time here with a handmade souvenir?  Then you’re in the right place, we offer that!   Remember to check out our Activities schedule, there are a number of ways you can do this:  We post weekly schedules on our website; we hand you a printed schedule upon check-in; we write the daily activities on a board located on the patio; and we have a hallway with sign-ups sheets right near the board games.  You can always ask anyone who works here about we do, as well!  Hope to see you soon, enjoy the day!  Sue
