7-20-18 Activities

July 20, 2018

Another beautiful Friday is upon us! And tomorrow looks to be just as nice! Make sure you take advantage of the sunny weather as rain seems to be approaching by Sunday. But a rainy day during your vacation doesn’t need to spoil the week! Who doesn’t love an excuse to sleep in, try out a new restaurant or check out some of our wonderful museums and art galleries? Some rainy day suggestions: Ogunquit Museum of American Art is LOVELY to visit during any weather, with three indoor exhibits to explore. The Wells-Ogunquit Historical Society does FREE tours during the weekend – make sure to call ahead for specific times – where you can learn about the truly fascinating history of the area (trust me, this is MUCH more than just a beach town!). Ogunquit’s famous Playhouse is playing “An American in Paris” and from what I’ve heard it’s brilliant and very entertaining! We also have several nearby theatres as well, Hackmatack Theatre, Vinegar Hill and several playhouses in Portsmouth, NH will give you plenty of options for entertainment! If you’ve brought along the kids Portland and Portsmouth, as well as Short Sands Beach are great locations to spend the day that offer plenty of indoor activities like arcades, bowling, museums to have some fun! Happy Friday!
