Resort Activities 10/4 – 10/8

9:00am – 10:00am    What’s Going on??
Stop in at the Front Desk and meet Sue, our Activities Director.  She’ll let you know what’s going on around town and at the Resort this week.  Sign up for some fun!

zachs11:00am – 2:00pm      Zach’s Corn Maze
Hop in our Resort van and take a ride to a local corn maze and farm stand located in York, ME.  The corn maze includes a 20 minute hay ride to the area.  There is fresh produce and flowers to purchase, as well.  Cost for the maze is $9.00 – payable to Zach’s.  Sign up sheet is located in Activities Room hall.

Designed for children ages 7 and under to enjoy the pool.

Our pool is reserved for adult guests only during this time.

Enjoy our beautiful seacoast by strolling along a 1-1/2 mile paved path.  Take a break along the way and preserve the views with pictures taken for your later enjoyment.  Wear comfortable walking shoes and appropriate outdoor clothing.  Meet in the front lobby, Sue will drive the van to Perkins Cove and will be your guide on the walk.  Sign up sheet in Activities Room Hall.

2:00pm – 3:00pm        Beach Plum Farm
Join Sue and take a walk just across the street to Beach Plum Farm.  Learn about this beautiful preserved area and enjoy the views!  Meet in the front lobby, we’ll walk over together.  Sign up sheet in Activities Room hall.

3:30pm – 4:30pm           Paint the Beach
Meet in the Activities Room to paint a scene from our minds’ eye.  Will it be a favorite beach memory, a pretty seashell or the rocks on Marginal Way?

Our pool is reserved for adult guests only during this time.

10:30am – 12:30 pm Ogunquit Museum of American Art
Tour the grounds with Sue and view the latest showcased artists.  Adults $10, students $9, under 12 is free.   Please note:  the museum has some works on display that depict the nude human figure.  Meet in the front lobby, we’ll take the Resort shuttle van.  Sign up sheet in Activities Room hall.

portsmouth dining3:15pm – 6:45pm          Portsmouth Eats Food Tour                      

Hop in the van and ride to Portsmouth NH to enjoy a tasting tour of some of our regions best restaurants!  This is a walking tour that presents some of the best New England seafood around along with local history.  Cost is $36.00 per person, payable at sign-up.  Reservations must be made as least 24 hours prior to scheduled tour.  Minimum of (4) reservations needed for tour to run.  Any questions, please ask at the front desk.

Join Sue and friends as we drive to the top of the mountain and hike some easy terrain trails while looking for signs of wildlife.  Remember your camera, bug spray, appropriate clothing and walking shoes.  Meet in the front lobby, we’ll take the shuttle van.  Sign up sheet in Activities Room hall.

2:30pm – 3:30pm              Beading basics
Have you ever wanted to learn how to bead?  Would you like to create your very own bracelet?  Join Sue in the Activities Room to learn some basic techniques and make a piece to take home.

Join Sue and enjoy a leisurely one-mile hike through a National Wildlife Refuge to view nature and our environment.  Bring water, sunscreen and binoculars, along with comfortable walking shoes.  Meet in the front lobby, we’ll take the shuttle van.  Sign up sheet in Activities Room hall.

Take a ride with Sue to the Nubble Lighthouse in York, ME.  Enjoy the sightseeing along with the changing fall leaves and you never have to pay attention to the road!  Meet in the front lobby, we’ll take the shuttle van.  Sign up sheet is located in Activities Room hall.

Marginal Way – a suggested activity
Enjoy a leisurely 1-1/2 mile walk along our beautiful Ogunquit coastline.  Start at Perkins Cove and follow the paved walkway suitable for all ages.  Be sure to look for shorebirds and different types of rocky outcroppings throughout the trail.

Meet CFW educators and ambassadors to learn about CFW and how they treat and care for our local wildlife.  Following the presentation, tour the baby bird room and take a walk around!   There is a $5.00 cash donation to the CFW to participate.  The Center is less than 10 miles south off Rte 1.  Directions are available at the front desk.

Meet upstairs in the Activities Room to decorate a picture frame that you can use to display a favorite Maine picture.  A variety of materials will be available.
