Happy Friday! 6/29 activities

June 29, 2018

Get ready, everyone… we have a heat wave upon us! This coming week will be a HOT one! Thankfully The Falls is a quick shuttle away from two of our most popular beaches so you can cool off! But please be advised that the ocean is still very cool, only in the 50s and prolonged exposure can sometimes be dangerous. Have fun but always be cautious!

Some easy tips to remember for heat safety are:
  • Spend some time in air conditioning, if possible.
  • Drink plenty of water and natural juices, even if you don’t feel thirsty.
  • Slow down.
  • Wear loose-fitting, lightweight, light-colored clothing.
  • Avoid going out in the blazing heat, if you can.

Happy Friday! Here’s what’s going on at the Falls this week…

June 8, 2018

So the coolest thing happening this weekend might just be Old Port Fest! Just hop on I-95 and in 45 minutes you’ll be in the middle of one of the biggest and best festivals around. This is a family friendly event with lots going on to celebrate music, art, food… The entire Old Port is shut off from traffic and it’s basically a giant party in the streets! I’ve been before and had a lot of fun! Plus Portland is just an awesome city to explore in and of itself. Weather looks GREAT as well!
