2011 Christmas by the Sea only a month away!

The 25th annual Christmas by the Sea Celebration is scheduled this year for December 3-4 & 9-11, 2011! The first weekend features Santa’s Workshop, an Ice Skating Party, a Cookie Walk, Santa’s Village & House of Scrooge A musical theater production, The Gift of the Magi, a Gingerbread Decorating Class, Ogunquit Spirit of Giving 6th Annual Holiday Party and The Marginal Way Preservation Fund Meatloaf Competition.
Weekend two is highlighted by the Saturday Christmas Parade which runs from the Main Beach to Perkins Cove and is presented by the Village Spirit Committee. Beginning on Friday, there are concerts at The Baptist Church and at Jonathan’s restaurant, Hayrides at Veteran’s park, Christmas Caroling Downtown, a continuation of Santa’s Village & House of Scrooge culminating with the Tree Lighting at Veteran’s Park at 8:15 followed by the Bonfire at Main Beach.
Throughout the day on Saturday there will be visits with Santa, a Basement Bazaar and Arts and Crafts Show, The Chowder and Chocolafest, Kids’ Ornament Making and Cookie Decorating, The “Giving Tree” Silent Auction, Holiday Storytelling, a Wandering Minstrel, Tree lighting and caroling at Perkins Cove after the parade, and much more…
Sunday ends the weekend with Hayrides at Veteran’s Park, an Open House at the Ogunquit Heritage Museum and the Southern Maine Christmas Parade in Wells.
