8:45-11:15am Walking Tour of the Marginal Way
Join us on a guided tour of Maine’s most famous footpath. See the sights and learn the fascinating story behind this special piece of coastline. Tour participants will need to be comfortable walking up to 2.5 miles. This is a spectacular trip that will demand the attention of your camera! Participants need to sign up in advance in the hallway directly across from the Front Desk. Meet by the Lobby for departure.
12:30-3:30pm Mountain Trail Hike
Come experience the beauty of our coastal mountains and the best views Southern Maine has to offer! The trail has moderate terrain and is 2 miles long. Participants should be in good physical condition and will need to bring a water bottle. Be sure to dress appropriately to match the weather conditions. Long sleeves, pants, hat, or bug spray always helps to keep the bugs away during the summer months. Participants need to sign up in advance in the hallway directly across from the Front Desk. Meet by the Lobby for departure.

8:45-11:45am Coastal Reserve Walk
Follow Jeff as he guides you through this spectacular Research Reserve. The trails traverse through upland fields, woodlands, salt marsh, and out to a beautiful sandy beach. This is a superb spot to enjoy nature in all her seasons. Participants will also learn about coastal ecology and the history of a saltwater farm. Don’t forget your camera as this is one of the last pristine pieces of Southern Maine coastline! The walk will be about 1.5 miles long. Dress appropriately for weather conditions and bring some water. Long sleeves, pants, hat, or bug spray always helps to keep the bugs away during the summer months. Participants need to sign up in advance in the hallway directly across from the Front Desk. There is a $3 entry fee for adults and $1 fee for kids ages 6-16. Meet by the Lobby for departure.
12:45-3:45pm Coastal Bike Ride
Enjoy a leisurely bike ride along southern Maine’s picturesque coastline. This ride is for taking in the sights along the rocky shoreline and the sandy beaches. This tour allows for several stops where riders can get off the bikes, soak up the scenery, look for seals, and take some stunning pictures. Equipment is available for all ages. The ride is approximately 9 miles long and done at a leisurely pace. Participants will need to dress for the weather and bring water bottles. You must register ahead of time at the Front desk. Meet in the Activities office upstairs from the Lobby 5 minutes before scheduled departure to complete rental forms. There is a $10 cash fee for this activity due at time of registration. Participants must be able to ride a bike safely!

8:45-12:30pm Sacred Seashore Trip
This is a 1.5 mile walking adventure along a coastal footpath that meanders along a rocky shoreline full of nooks and crannies to explore. Bold Atlantic views, shore birds, coastal islands, and a fascinating history make this a special trip! Be sure to dress appropriately to match the weather conditions and bring some water. Participants need to sign up in advance in the hallway directly across from the Front Desk. Meet by the Lobby for departure.
1:15-4:00pm Pastures of the Past and Ridgeline trails
Walk the trails that meander through forgotten pastures and southern ridgelines. Learn the story behind some of Maine’s earliest settlements. Participants can expect to walk up to 2 miles while exploring the trails. Trail conditions vary from grassy and flat to rocky and slightly inclined. Be sure to dress appropriately to match the weather conditions and bring some water. Participants need to sign up in advance in the hallway directly across from the Front Desk.

8:45-12:45pm Beaver Ponds, Mountain Tops, and Mysterious Rock Formations
Come explore an old colonial road with an incredible landscape. This hike is 3.6 miles long and contains a natural earth and stone trail with moderate terrain. The trip will take you through some very interesting physical features not typically seen all on one trail. Participants should be in good physical condition and will need to bring a water bottle. Be sure to dress appropriately to match the weather conditions Participants need to sign up in advance in the hallway directly across from the Front Desk. Meet by the Lobby for departure.
