Is it February or June??

sand ripples

So, I’m sitting at my desk between activities – the windows are open and the sun is warm.  Not sure what’s going on with this weather, but I’ll definitely take it!  Lots of guests are also taking advantage and heading out to walk our beautiful beaches.  Thought I’d feature a photo I took showing natures’ artwork, how beautiful and un-recreateable! (is that even a word?)

Have you checked out our Facebook page?  We try hard to keep you up to date on the happenings here and around town, as well as showcase some of the activities we offer.  The activities schedule is updated weekly on the website page, so make sure you keep on eye on that, as well.  Is there something you’d like to do while visiting?  You can always send me an email and ask – sgeeslin@innseason.com.  I’d love to hear from you and always appreciate comments and suggestions.

Hope your windows are open – enjoy the day!

What a week!

glass painting

Have you been keeping an eye on our Activities?  Well, check out this happy family who  hand painted their very own Maine souvenir – what a way to remember a great vacation!  And this is just one of the many activities offered here at The Falls.  We might start the day with a leisurely walk on the Marginal Way then hop in the pool for a fun round of volleyball, dry off and head up to the Activities Room for a complimentary craft to finish it off.  All this before dinner, WOW!  Does this not sound good to you?  Well,  how about a hike up our local mountain?  Or, we can check out Maine art museums.  Maybe you’d like to go to Portsmouth and ice skate?  No matter what you like to do, I’m pretty sure I have something that might interest you.  And, if it’s not offered as part of our activities, we’re all able to point you in the right direction to head out on your own!  Please check out the Activities tab or give us a call.  Looking forward to meeting you!

It’s Vacation Week!

pool volley

What a start to school vacation here in Ogunquit – record breaking cold temperatures!  Not to worry, that isn’t stopping us here at The Falls.  Some guests toured the town with me yesterday, checking out the beaches in the warmth of our shuttle van.  We’ve made personalized Valentines’ Day cards (kids and adults!), had some fun learning weaving techniques and now playing pool volleyball.  Oh, it’s only midday Monday…

Don’t be afraid that you’ve missed all the excitement – we still have wine glass painting, mountain touring, beading and lots of other fun and games.  Oh ya, the pool volleyball net will be back up, too.  Looking forward to seeing you here at The Falls in Ogunquit real soon!

The Falls Activities

footbridge

What a beautiful day at Footbridge Beach –  The weather is about 40 degrees and people are out enjoying the weather!  I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but we do have more snow on the way.  But that’s OK, because here at The Falls in Ogunquit we have scheduled activities right on site.  How would you like your very own handmade souvenir of your time here?  Well, you can choose from painted wine glasses, beaded bracelets or even a painting you’ve made!  Sign up and come visit the Activities Room to meet me, Sue, and we’ll have a great time creating together.  I’ll make sure you leave with something you can be proud of.  If crafting isn’t your thing, we also have a large indoor pool, a dry sauna, or even movies to borrow.  Please check out our weekly activities schedule on the website.  We update the schedule each week and I add additional kid-friendly activities during school vacation weeks.  Stay safe on the roads, looking forward to seeing you!

What a difference a week makes!

February 2, 2016

Can you believe how warm this winter has been up here in Maine?  In just a short week, our icy falls have become almost summer-like!  What’s next, the peeping frogs?  OK, I might be looking a little too far ahead but I can’t wait for summer!  As I type this, my mind is on long beach walks looking for shells, hiking local trails, and some of the best seafood I’ve ever tasted…Well, until then, I’ll continue to enjoy taking our guests to Freeport or Portsmouth, making crafty souvenirs, and enjoying each other’s company.  Hope to see you at The Falls in Ogunquit real soon!
