Scarecrow Contest begins Columbus Day Weekend!
Explore the town as businesses decorate and compete for the best scarecrow display. Ballot boxes located around town through Saturday, October 22.

CATACOMBS & MAZE AT OGUNQUIT VILLAGE SCHOOL, School Street. 6-10pm. Shriek in fright at our scary Haunted House. $8 Adults, $6 Kids 10 & over, but be sure to pick up a $1 coupon in the OgunquitFest brochure. (Haunted House not appropriate for children under 10. Maze: weather permitting.)

CLASSIC CAR SHOW 10am-2pm, Main Beach parking lot. Vote on your favorite classic car! Winners announced at 1pm. Free admission. Rain date: Sunday.

AUTUMN BAZAAR 9am-4pm, Main Beach parking lot. Find that one-of-a-kind special item – get an early jump on your holiday shopping! Donations being accepted for local food pantry or pet food for the Animal Welfare Society.

HORSE-DRAWN WAGON RIDES 10am-4pm, Veterans’ Park. $5 per person. Weather permitting.

ROAMING RAILROAD 10am-4pm, Main Beach parking lot. Adults and children alike can take in some of the OgunquitFest sights in style on this unique little train, outfitted with a whistle and real brass bell. Admission charged. Weather permitting.

OGUNQUITFEST CORNSTALK MAZE 2-6pm, Ogunquit Village School, Dunaway Center. Kids under 10 can lose themselves as they wander through our maze. Weather permitting.

GREAT PUMPKIN PATCH PRESENTATION & COOKIE MONSTER DECORATING 2:30-4:30pm, Dunaway Center, School Street. An Autumn delight for kids of all ages. Pumpkins, paints, markers, and stickers supplied. No carving please. Kids can decorate their favorite cookie, and eat it too!

HIGH HEEL DASH AND WALK-OFF 3pm, Perkins Cove. Watch the hijinks as brave souls race around Perkins Cove in high heels! Better yet, join in the race! Heels must be at least 2” high, and trophies awarded for Best Time, Highest Heel and Most Outrageous Costume! Proceeds from registration will go to Frannie Peabody Center. Rain date: Sunday. Pre-registration and pledge sheets available at http://www.visitogunquit.org.

CHILDREN’S FALL STORYTELLING 4-5pm, Dunaway Center, School Street. Listen to local storyteller Diana Abbott tell tales of spooks and haunted happenings.

GHOSTLY TOURS, 5:30-9pm. Ogunquit Heritage Museum, Obeds Lane. Stop in for a ghostly walk through Ogunquit. Are they myths or is there more to Ogunquit’s nightlife than meets the eye? Tours by the Ogunquit Heritage Museum. Bring your flashlight – it’s dark out there! $5 Adults, children under 10 free. Weather permitting.

COSTUME PARADE 11:30am, Ogunquit Square to Main Beach. Costumed kids, adults, and canines welcome! Parade starts at 11am. Rain location: Under the tents at the Main Beach Parking Lot.
BRIDGE TO BEACH BED RACE 12-1pm, Beach Street bridge to Main Beach parking lot and back. It’s utter bedlam as teams zoom down Beach Street! Vote on your favorite as teams raise money to vie for the People’s Choice Award. Most Beautiful Bed and Broken Spring winners will also be selected. Weather permitting. Registration sheets available at http://www.visitogunquit.org.
