New! Walking Tours of Ogunquit

by

Join the Ogunquit Chamber of Commerce on a walk around Ogunquit. Learn about the 350 year history of Ogunquit, the creation of Perkins Cove, and the establishment of the Marginal Way and Ogunquit Beach as public areas. You will travel back in time using the buildings and landmarks as our guides, exploring the early occupations in Ogunquit, from forestry to fishing, from art to tourism, and learning how some of your favorite Ogunquit landmarks and old house got their names, and changed uses (and locations!) through the years.
Meet at Katie’s on Shore Road (261 Shore Road) at 9:30 every Tuesday and Friday during the summer. Tours should last approximately 1.5 hours, so wear comfortable shoes and sunscreen!
$5.00 per person . Parking available at the Barn Gallery, at the corner of Bourne Lane and Shore Road.

I recently returned from a week at The Falls at Ogunquit. On Tuesday I picked up the trolley right next to the resort, ate breakfast at Amore (yum!), and joined the walking tour at Katie’s. Karen was our guide. What fun!!) She is very knowledgeable about the area, we had a lovely day, and a good time was had by all.
One note: bring water and plan on the tour taking two hours. Karen has so much great info to share that she can’t really fit it into an hour and a half (but that’s a good thing).
This walk was well worth the $5 donation.
