Now that life is in full swing here in Ogunquit, my favorite “gift shop” has geared up with all their new 2008 merchandise. If you’ve never been to Spoiled Rotten, you’ve got to make the visit! It’s located on Beach Street in the center of town-they have a website that is way cool-it has a live video cam focused on the street that goes to the beach. Their latest venture in candles is another special scent called Footbridge-sort of a jasmine smell-terrific like all the special Ogunquit scents. Why do a plastic lobster when you can send special candles from Ogunquit? Oh, now I have to add to my collection of Spoiled Rotten tee’s and sweats–they now have them in Italian -Viziami–. You can spend hours looking in every nook and cranny in this place and you’ll be amazed at what you you can find!

Chelsea Kimball from North Berwick, ME

At Noble High School she played multiple sports such as Field Hockey, Basketball, Softball, and Track & Field. Chelsea went on to play Field Hockey at Saint Michael’s College in Colchester, Vermont all four years while majoring in Biochemistry. During her four years at Saint Mike’s, she volunteered for many events and clubs on and off campus. Some of the clubs/events were, M.O.V.E (Mobilization of Volunteer Efforts), Diversity Coalition, MLK Society, Correctional Volleyball, Homework Club, volunteering with elementary school children for social and academic activities, VALC (Vermont Adult Learning Center) helping teach adults to read and teach basic computer skills, Burlington Boys & Girls Club, and American Chemical Society (ACS) secretary. Throughout her years in High School/College she helped coach many camps for athletes, ages ranging from 5-18 years old.

She has lived in Maine all her life and enjoys the outdoors. Chelsea strives to give back to the community as much as she can. She believes it is important to give back what you have learned by sharing your skills and enthusiasm with others.

As Director of Activities for The Falls at Ogunquit, Jeff has a unique background as a teacher, coach, and lifelong resident of the area.  Jeff graduated from the University of New Hampshire with a degree in History and a minor course of study in Environmental Conservation.  He received his teaching certification from the University of New England and is currently halfway through his Masters degree in Education.  Jeff has taught World History and coached lacrosse at surrounding High Schools.  The local beaches, coves, and trails were Jeff’s play grounds as a child and continue to be so throughout his adult life.  So whether it’s activities for kids, adults, or the whole family, Jeff has you covered!

The activities department here at The Falls is in the process of creating new and exciting activities for the whole family while maintaining the old favorites.  The activities department has just purchased new recreational equipment and games that will be used on the resort grounds and at the beach.  So get ready for all the best Lawn sports and beach volley ball you can play!

Can you believe that he is almost 5 months already.  It seems like only yesterday they handed me this little bundle.  I’m almost ready to put him to work pulling weeds.  His grasp of my earings is right on the money, he surely can grab a weed or two around here!!???

Its with a heavy heart that we say Goodbye to out Front Desk Manager, Carlyn Tedesco.  Carlyn has been with us at The Falls since 2003 when she began as a front desk clerk.  She worked hard and proved herself as a dedicated strong employee.  When she was promoted to Manager, she jumped right in and even pulled a few 3rd shifts when needed.

Carlyn is a wonderful leader and has built a solid front desk team. 

Her welcoming personality shines in everything she does.

We wish her well, and hope she will find her way back to InnSeason Resorts some day….,.

The Playhouse opens on Memorial Day weekend this year, with a special 5 show production of Forbidden Broadway. The season contines into October. Visit their website at www.ogunquitplayhouse.org to view all the shows and dates. Different this year is a lack of opening nights. Instead they are doing “previews” for three shows on Wednesday afternoon and evening and Thursday afternoon. Also there is a strong focus on children’s shows with “High School Musical ” being performed several times throughout the season and other shows such as Willy Wonka and Fairy Houses, the Musical.
