New Pub in Town

In spite of the economy, there is a new place on town—Feile- and What a new place it is! Totally renovated inside with a wonderful Irish Pub atmosphere. No expense spared when this re-do was done!!!

They have live entertainment several nights a week- 50 different beers – helpful and smiling staff – and they’re open for lunch, dinner, Sunday Brunch and have a late night pub menu.

Now, the best news….The food is terrific and very inexpensive (basically $11-$16, with lesser prices for sandwiches and sides, etc.) Typically Irish Classics: Sheppard’s Pie, Bangers and Mash, Corned Beef and Cabbage, Fish and Chips, Guiness Beef Stew, etc. Wonderful seafood options: Salmon, scallops, shrimp, crabcakes, lobster rolls. Etc. All of the food is home made (including brown corned beef hash ). They also have an array of soups, salads, appetizers and a kid’s menu.

This is a “ must do” while here on your vacation. Run, don’t walk!!!!

New Restaurant Alert!!!!! Post Road Tavern

Yep, another spot has come on the scene- Post Road Tavern, just 1/2 mile north of the resort on Route 1. Opening a little late in the season, they plan to be open year round. And what a pub it is!! Wonderful pub style food, unique to most places here around Oqunguit. How about perogies, weiner schnitzel, Dublin Coddle, Bangers and mash, etc. And add to that 14 different beers on tap and 20 more in bottles. Now, we’re talking pub…..

During happy hour they have lots of specials and every night they have a late night menu until 1:00 am. Add to that, brunch on Saturday and Sunday with brunch items besides the regular menu-served 11:00 till 2:00.

This is one of places that has great reviews on trip advisor-and I love it. Now, if I love it, you know it’s good!!!!!!
